Fairview KL and Fairview Johor are able to grow organically by filling their existing capacity of 1,500 and 750 students (compared to current enrolments of 520 and 205, respectively) without significant additional capital investment. Profitability at each campus could grow disproportionately to revenues, on the basis that, for example, new classrooms, teachers, or facilities are not required to support incremental student growth. A key strength of Fairview International PLC is its disciplined approach to cost management and, through this, its ability to offer high-quality education at lower rates than other operators in Asia. The Directors believe that this will enhance the attractiveness of the Fairview Network and, as student numbers grow, economies of scale will support higher incremental profitability from new enrolments.
Despite offering affordable school fees, the Fairview Network delivers high-quality, premium education. The directors believe that Fairview International PLC’s school fees are approximately 40% lower than those of comparable schools in Malaysia and about half the cost of other international schools in Asia.
At the campus level, management and operations are overseen collaboratively through a leadership team comprising the campus management (the principal and coordinators) and the executive committee, which, in addition to Fairview KL and Fairview Johor, also administers the Fairview Network. Fairview International PLC is led by an experienced Board that prioritises sound financial management, transparency, good governance, cultural diversity, and social cohesion. The Board as a whole has extensive networks in the education sector, as well as experience in corporate acquisitions and capital markets. Fairview International PLC intends to leverage the Board’s relationships to drive shareholder value in both Asia and internationally.
Fundamentally, the leadership team at each campus reports to the Board within a structure that provides both empowerment and accountability. This ensures consistency in the quality of education while allowing each campus to continue growing under the Board’s direction.
Fairview KL has been ranked as a top IB Diploma World School globally for five consecutive years, from 2020 to 2024. The school’s IB DP average score of 35 is significantly above the global average, equivalent to more than 3 A*s in the Cambridge International A Levels (using the UCAS Tariff Points calculator). This is in addition to a remarkable pass rate of 99%. This achievement not only reflects the high academic standards upheld by Fairview International
PLC but also underscores its students’ readiness for global university challenges.
In addition, Middle Years Programme (MYP) students (aged 10 to 15 years) at Fairview KL and Fairview Johor have consistently achieved scores ranging from 43 to 48 out of 56 points between 2021 and 2023, exceeding the global average of 38. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Fairview Network’s MYP curriculum in fostering strong academic foundations, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of global contexts.
This creates cost efficiencies in human resource strategies for capacity building, as well as fostering synergistic collaboration across the network of campuses through shared resources.
